The National Advisory Committee on AIDS (NACA) was established in 1987 by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore. Its role was to provide advice on the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in the country.
On the other hand, the AIDS Task Force was also formed in 1987, replacing the initial Advisory Committee on AIDS. The two bodies had distinct responsibilities:
The AIDS Task Force advised the MOH on scientific and medical matters related to AIDS.
The National Advisory Committee on AIDS focused on community feedback and provided advice on AIDS education to the public.
Both entities played crucial roles in implementing the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP), which aimed to prevent and manage HIV incidences in Singapore
