AsiaOne is a news and lifestyle aggregator of Singapore Press Holdings, available on a variety of online platforms.[1]

It covers a number of topics, including news, stock markets, real estate, trade, conventions and economic statistics, and carries headlines from a number of SPH publications and magazines such as The Straits Times,The Business Times, The New Paper, and Hardware Zone. AsiaOne also features a section for Malaysia news. In July 2012, it had a global Alexa ranking of 4,671 and was ranked by Alexa as No. 20 in Singapore. In 2007 it claimed 100 million page views from six million unique visitors.

Parent company Singapore Press Holdings announced on 13 October 2017 that despite a comprehensive revamp in May 2017, AsiaOne might be shut down as early as November 2017.[2]

Controversy[]

In November 2013, news site AsiaOne and Lianhe Wanbao issued an apology to politician Nicole Seah after they published a photograph and inaccurately suggested that Seah was dating a married man. The man, CEO of social site mig33, Steven Goh, was divorced. Seah noted via Facebook that she had threatened to sue.[3]
