Heckin’ Unicorn is a Singapore-based queer brand that is made by queer people, for queer people. It was founded in 2018 by Teo Yu Sheng and aims to provide the LGBT community with ways to express their identity - ways that are beyond kitschy rainbows and flashy flags.
It seeks to push the heteronormative narrative that surrounds us everywhere we go, so that the world can be a kinder place for all. It is here to spread the message of love, because it knows that there is plenty to go around without the need to restrict access to it.
It is here to provide a little hope to those who need it. It is here to inspire other queer people who might have ideas for queer businesses, but never took their first step. Queer people are here. They exist. And they will not go away.
All products are designed with pride by its resident Singaporean unicorn. These include LGBT-themed pins to celebrate one's inner rainbows and are great for LGBTQ individuals and allies.
In the run up to the 2020 General Elections, Heckin' Unicorn published email templates which LGBT voters and their allies could send to political candidates[1].
