BooksActually, established in 2005, is an independent bookstore specializing in fiction and literature whioh includes poetry, essays and literary journals alongside obscure, critical works and antique/rare editions. It also stocks titles on various subjects it likes, for example history, biographies, current affairs, human sciences, mathematics/natural Sciences, travel narratives, food narrative, aesthetics, music and film.
BooksActually also houses the largest collection of Singapore literary publications including some out-of-print titles.
It distributes books under its imprint Math Paper Press. It also hand-stitches notebooks and produces stationery under Birds & Co.
BooksActually currently operates entirely online, delivering books to customers' doorsteps. The bookstore only manifests in the physical realm during its events and other pop-ups.
The online store operates out of 44 Upper Weld Road, Singapore 207401. It processes orders, replies to emails and turns its cats into memes every Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm (excluding public holidays) and is out for lunch from 12pm to 2pm.
