Call for love stories and time capsule items[]

On Wednesday, 28 May 2025, Pink Dot published the following message on its Facebook[2]:

"CALL FOR LOVE STORIES

As part of Pink Dot 2025’s campaign, “Different Stories, Same Love”, we’re creating a communal time capsule to capture LGBTQ+ love in all its beautiful forms.

We’re inviting YOU to share a personal item that represents love: it can be your love for a friend or partner, a group of people, your chosen family. Some guidelines:

  • Think: a letter, a keepsake, a symbol of your journey
  • Tell us why it’s meaningful to you
  • Try to keep the item small

Some of these items will be displayed at Pink Dot 17 at Hong Lim Park on June 28, before being sealed into the time capsule until 2050, preserving our community’s love stories for the future. To submit your item for consideration, please visit https://timecapsule.pinkdot.sg/ to submit your item by June 12!

Let’s celebrate the freedom to love – one love story at a time"

This was followed by the following video on YouTube posted the same day:

Video caption:

"What does love look like in all its different forms? This year, Pink Dot is gathering cherished objects and stories from our community to show what love really looks like: tender, messy, everyday and enduring. These stories will be sealed in a time capsule and opened in 2050 by a new generation of LGBTQ+ Singaporeans. Watch our campaign video and join us in building a time capsule filled with love at Pink Dot 17 on 28th June 2025, 3pm."

In their story, a humble fork and spoon becomes a symbol of shared meals, acceptance, and family. Join us in building a time capsule filled with love at Pink Dot 17 on 28th June 2025, 3pm.

Cayes and Xervixia[]

On Sunday, 8 June 2025, the following video entitled "Pink Dot 17: This is Cayes and Xervixia's story of tender loving care" was uploaded to Pink Dot's YouTube channel:

Video caption:

"In each other, Cayes and Xervixia discovered a love for each other grounded in care, built on trust, and deeply tender. Each week, Xervixia administers Cayes’ Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) shot — a quiet ritual that speaks volumes. For them, it’s more than medical care. It’s a symbol of how love thrives in the trans community. Join us in building a time capsule filled with love at Pink Dot 17 on 28th June 2025, 3pm."

Jean and Zen[]

On Sunday, 15 June 2025, the following video entitled "Pink Dot 17: This is Jean and Zen's simple love story that's imperfectly perfect" was uploaded to Pink Dot's YouTube channel:

Video caption:

"For Jean and Zen, love is in the simple things — time spent side by side in their car, shared laughter, and growing together. A pair of crochet pumpkins, made on one of their first dates, now serves as a gentle reminder of their bond. Through ups and downs, it remains a symbol of commitment and the joy they find in each other. Join us in building a time capsule filled with love at Pink Dot 17 on 28th June 2025, 3pm."
